Tolosa Knights (Enduro) and Sporty Knights (Sport)

Sunday 7 May

Event Hub: Hut 8 – Melaleuca, Tolosa Park, Glenorchy

Female runner on slope of Waterworks 10

New for 2023! Tolosa Park is such a great event hub, with so many great trails starting from here – this is the next Tolosa/kTS installment! Knights Creek is a classic, steep mountain running trail that every trail runner should test themselves on every now and then!

Tolosa Knights: A nice flat(ish) and smooth warm-up gets you straight onto Knights Creek Track, with a steep climb up to Big Bend and East West fire trails. East West is a super runnable, undulating downhill 4WD track, which weaves through grand eucalypt forests with lush ferny undergrowth and some great views north into Collinsvale. It’s time to lose the elevation and head down mostly-groomed and steep fire trails, through dry, grassy woodlands – with great views out across the river and head back to Tolosa. With 850m elevation, this is one of the more challenging 14km you’ll run – but it’s got best combinations of steep ups and downs and flowing, runnable 4WD tracks!

Sporty Knights: A great taste of classic, steep mountain running on Knights Creek Track without having to scale the entire 850m of vert! You also get to fly straight back down what you just came up for a complete reversal of experience on the same trail.

PLEASE NOTE: Glenorchy Council does not permit dogs in Tolosa Park
